Sea Turtle Early Learning Center San Jose

Our early childhood program is built around a comforting daily, weekly and yearly rhythm that nourishes the whole child.  Natural materials and simple toys provide our students with ample opportunities  for developing their imagination.

The full-day 8:30am to 3:00pm preschool offers classes for preschool age children up to 6 year-olds.  The programs are child-centered and inspired by public Waldorf principles.  Our credentialed teachers receive training in developmentally and culturally appropriate practices, including early childhood training at Steiner College.  Learn more about our teachers at their web sites which are linked below.

We also offer a Voluntary Prekindergarten  (VPK) for 4-year-olds who are 4 by September 1 of the current school year.  The state funded VPK program provides 3 hours per day of instruction and requires an eligibilty certificate from the Duval County Early Learning Coalition.  For families of 4 year olds looking for  a Waldorf program or needing full day care,  we provide a full-day Waldorf wrap around program for our VPK students.

Admission to and enrollment in the state funded VPK program may include a preference for admission to some Seaside Schools Consortium schools, a provider of tuition-free public charter school. Please note that while Seaside Charter K-8 at San Jose is operating under a federal CSP start-up grant we will be unable to offer a preference this school.

Extended care is available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM for working families.

Please contact InfoELC@seasideconsortium.org for enrollment information.
